Digitization standards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Kramerius system is continuously updated to support the display and processing of documents digitized according to the standards and formats used by the National Digital Library (NDK)<\/a>. These standards, which are mandatory for applicants seeking funding under the VISK 7 subprogram<\/a>, are based on international standards developed by the Library of Congress (LoC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kramerius development team works closely with the NDK Format Committee as well as individual working groups and actively participates in the creation and implementation of new recommendations in practice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Current Development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New Features of the Czech Digital Library (2024\u20132025)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The development aims to create new components for the Czech Digital Library and add new features that will increase the robustness and reliability of the entire system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key changes include the modernization of the Kramerius 7 core, a technological update of the Czech Digital Library (new versions of Java and other components), splitting the core into autonomous components for better scalability and speed, implementation of parallel processing and load balancing, and significant improvements in indexing and advanced search. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project also includes the development of a new version of the web client with performance optimization, code refactoring, and implementation of UX analysis conclusions to enhance the user experience. The new client will support the modern core API and discontinue support for older system versions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extension of the Kramerius system for users with special needs (2025)<\/h3><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
